Open Afternoon: Friday 31st of March

Dear Families,

As many of you will know, over this last term, Heavers Farm has been excelling in our sporting achievements.

We won the Croydon Indoor Athletics Championships, which meant our school represented Croydon at the London Youth Games in this area. We finished 6th in the whole of London!

In addition, we won places in the London Youth Games for our Netball and Girls’ Football teams. In the football, we ended up Joint 5th and in the netball we were quarter-finalists.

We are still awaiting results of the Croydon Schools Basketball Finals.

As a result of our efforts, we helped Croydon be the second “most improved” borough in London.

This week, the whole school has been raising funds through sport with our sponsored cross-country run to support this years’ school journey.

To celebrate this we are making a slight change to our usual end of term afternoon, when we welcome families to come in and see the children’s work and share in their learning. On Friday 31st March (weather permitting) we would like all children, with their families, to come to the Main Playground at 3pm so that we can have a brief assembly together to celebrate the pupils’ sporting efforts and achievements. Children will be dismissed from the playground at the end of the assembly.

We hope you will be able to join us for this celebration. There will also be a bake sale in aid of our Community Hub.

Best wishes,

Heavers Farm
