A massive thank you to everyone who made Sports Day such an enormous success.
Although we got off to a bit of a rocky start for reasons beyond our control (arriving at the Arena to find it all locked up), it was lovely to see the children and families enjoying the day so much.
A massive thank you to the families, children and staff from Nursery to Year Two who had to change plans and locations at very short notice, who did this with such a positive spirit (which really helped the children to still enjoy the day) as well as so many who rolled-up their sleeves to help the sports coaches set up back at school. I know this was really appreciated.
It was particularly lovely to have the picnic back, after a gap of three years, this seemed to be enjoyed by everyone and showed the true Heavers community spirit!
Well done to all of the children from KS2, who walked so beautifully from the school to the Arena, who then showed off their sporting prowess, as well as their kindness and excellent behaviour while completing the activities.
We couldn’t have made the day as special as it was without the participation of our families, but I am sure everyone will agree that we owe a massive thanks to Mr Olisa and the sports coaches (from both of our schools) who organised such a brilliant event.

It really was a fabulous day – so lovely to see the school community having fun together. Thank you to everyone who helped organise it and well done to all the kids.
