Following the government announcement yesterday, the Prime Minister has announced a complete lockdown of the UK. He has instructed people not to leave their homes or meet in groups of more than two people. This is to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Full guidance here.
School remains open to children of key workers and vulnerable children but only if your child is unable to stay at home. You must only send your child to school if it is absolutely essential. Children that are due to attend school must only do so where no safe alternative is available. If you have any other adults at home please do not send your child(ren) into school. We all need to play our part to keep ourselves safe and help reduce the strain on our local NHS services.
We strongly encourage parents to make alternative arrangements where possible to reduce contact with people outside of the family home and risk spreading the virus.
It is important that no member of staff should come to school that has not been scheduled to do so.
THE SAFEST PLACE FOR YOUR CHILD IS AT HOME
The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.
Thank you for your ongoing support during these most challenging of times.
