Key Worker Notice
Government has made it clear that it is important to keep your child(ren) home wherever possible and only send them into school if they absolutely need to attend.
We ask you not place your child, other people’s children, their families and the school staff at risk of infection by bringing them onto our school site if there are safe alternatives.
The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in education settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals.
Limited Places
On Friday 20 March we wrote to all parents who have been offered a place in for our childcare provision. This is based at Heavers Farm Primary School from tomorrow, Monday 23 March 2020 and is open between 8:45am – 3:05pm. Children do not need to wear school uniform. We will provide porridge for breakfast and a hot lunch for each Children should be brought to the entrance to the school office, where we will register the children outside of the school building and take their temperature. Please note, that your child must be registered in and out of the premises by somebody who either has parental responsibility or has been nominated by someone with parental responsibility, as long as you are all fit and well and do not have any symptoms of coronavirus.
If you did not receive a letter from us on Friday, this means that you do not have a place in this provision. If you have not received notification from us, please do not bring your child into school whether you are a key worker or not. Only families with an offer of a place can attend the school. If any children arrive at school who are not on our register, they will be asked to remain outside the school building until a responsible adult comes to collect them.
We apologise that we are only able to offer this provision to a limited number of families due to our limited capacity. We have had to prioritise which children we can provide childcare for. I am sure that you can appreciate that whilst providing childcare for your children we must also ensure the safety of our school staff.
The safest place for your children is at home.
Thank you for your continued support in this most difficult of times.
