We are looking forward to welcoming you to our ‘Proud to Me’ Parade on Friday 12thJuly.
This is a celebration of everything the children have been learning this year about valuing who they are and respecting those who are different. All parents, friends and families who want to celebrate are welcome.
Our themes have been Black History, Women’s Rights, Disabilty Awareness, Mental Health Awareness and being Mindful, Caring for our Planet and LGBT Rights and History.
We are inviting children and parents to wear clothes and accessories that celebrate who they are, what they are proud of about themselves or to show the respect and acceptance they show to everyone.
The school gates will be open at 1.30pm and parents will need to be at their child’s classroom to parade to the playground by 1.45pm. If you have more than one child at the school, it doesn’t matter which class you parade with, we will all end up in the same place. Anyone arriving after 1.45pm will be directed where to go.
After the parade the whole school community will join together to sing some songs that have been learnt this year and some children will share what they are proud of.
To finish the day, parents will be welcomed back to the classes to have a look at all of the work pupils have completed this term, with a focus on our two themes, but also see the breadth of work the children have covered across the curriculum.
