We hope you have enjoyed hearing about the fun activities that the children have been getting up to so far this week – there is a lot more to come!

We loved seeing all the costumes today for World Book Day!

To celebrate World Book Day we would like to share with you all the fabulous opportunity to access free e-books for the rest of the school year!

To do this simply click on the link https://connect.collins.co.uk/school/HEAVERSF1/Student/

Select the school and entering the first letter of the last name (A) day and month of birth (1/1) and year group (1).

The books you can access range from Pink to Lime and can greatly enhance the reading opportunities for your children.

This will be especially exciting for the pupils for any books linked to the work they are doing this week.  For example, Year 1 have some great stuff going on about Pirates, as they have all been reading The Pirates Next Door. They could get really involved with the theme and get reading some e-books, such as the red level book and two gold level books about pirates on the Collins website for the children to enjoy for free!
