Today we have unveiled the new Parents’ evening booking system! Within the next 24 hours you should receive a text and email containing a unique link. Follow this link, and enter the first name of your child as a security measure, and you will be able to book a parents evening slot with your children’s teachers.
If you do not receive a link via text and email, it means that the school does not have the correct contact information for you. If this is the case, it is extremely important that you update your contact information as soon as possible, by returning the slip that your child was sent home with today (Monday 9th October).
Being a new system, we are anticipating that there might be a few hiccups. The office will be available to book slots manually from Monday 16th October. Hopefully this will make booking Parents’ Evening a lot easier!

It’s great to have an easier way of booking parents’ evening and it was very easy to use, but I do have one (hopefully constructive) piece of feedback.
Regrettably, this seems to have disadvantaged parents who work late and/or don’t pick up their children from school. I logged in as soon as I was able to and found no available appointments at all on one of the days. There was only a handful available the next day. As a result, I’ve had to book appointments for my children on different days with different parents, as neither my wife or I can make both days.
I’m not sure how this could be prevented in future, but it might be useful if it were still possible to state a number of preferences and then have the system use that information to allocate appointments at the end of a “booking window” – rather than assigning them immediately. This could help avoid the inherent competition in a first-come-first-served system.
