Our school was in a celebratory mood last Friday, with all of the children and staff coming together to celebrate Ms Papas’ 10 year anniversary at Heavers Farm. Ms Papas became the Headteacher of our school 10 years ago in January 2007! Many of the staff, including Ms Brown, remember Ms Papas’ first day and a lot of the children have known Ms Papas as their Headteacher since they were in Nursery!
The whole school got together for a very special assembly and children from Years 5 and 6 read out poems that they had written to celebrate Ms Papas. Children from Years 3 and 4 also contributed, giving Ms Papas cards, gifts and flowers. After this, the whole school got together to sing Ms Papas a very special song: “Proud” by Heather Small. This song is special, because it is the song that Ms Papas played in her very first assembly at Heavers Farm, when she came for an interview for the job.
We’d all like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Ms Papas for her 10 years of dedication to all of the children and staff of Heavers Farm!
