Top of the net!

Our netball team took a trip to Virgo Fidelis Convent Senior School yesterday for the Croydon School Sports Partnership Hi-5 Netball Qualifiers.

Hi-5 netball is slightly different to the full seven-a-side game. It has lots of positions and everybody rotates around the different roles, with five players on the court at any one time. It’s a great way to learn all the on-court positions and helps give children a grasp of the physical and tactical skills required.

Our team did really well, and didn’t lose any matches until the playoffs. The eventual winners, Henriette le Forestier Prep School, were the only team that managed to pip Heavers.

This was a really fantastic performance from Heavers Farm, with it being the first experience of competitive netball for many of our players, who eventually finished 3rd overall. Some top playing from our fab squad!
