It was a really super Friday on 2nd December, when our athletics team travelled to Thornton Heath Leisure Centre for the Sportshall Athletics Qualifiers.
Sportshall Athletics is an indoor athletics competition where everybody takes part in several different track (running and relays) and field (jumping and throwing) events.
There were some great individual and team performances from several of our athletes, which led to Heavers coming out third overall. We were pipped by our Federation-mates, Selsdon, who managed to take the second place spot, but the competition was very close, with all the schools finishing within a few points of each other! Congratulations to Selsdon on this result.
A huge congratulations to all who took part. A special mention for athlete of the day goes to Danieka, who had some absolutely amazing runs in the relays, really holding her own against the Year 6s, to help secure us our third place spot!

Your right morlai but they are all gifted with sports and athletics so some people well if the team works they will win it.But if team do not work hard just like I said they will still win because they all gifted with love,sports and athletics.
