Cross Country Trials next Monday 26th!

Attie here! Those of you that know me, know that I’m very keen on all things athletics related, so I’m rather excited about the upcoming Croydon Schools Cross Country! The picture above is of some of the fab athletes we had competing at last year’s competition!

This year everybody will get to have a go, including children in Years 1 and 2 (yay!), so that’s everybody from Year 1-Year 6!

As some of you will remember from last year, we have a set of open trials so everybody has a chance to try out to go to this competition. The trials (led by our run-loving Head of School, Mr McCormack) will be a route around the school site for each year group, with the first 7 girls and first 7 boys in each year group given a special ticket and getting an invite to the Croydon race.

This year, cross country trials will be this Monday, 26th September! In preparation for the competitions on either the 5th September or 13th September, depending on which year you are in.

If you want to take part in the trials, all you need to do is bring your PE kit in on Monday! Your year group will have a time slot and your teacher will ask who wants to have a shot at representing the school! Remember, we’re all sportspeople here with lots of respect for each other, so we will be cheering anybody on who gives it a try!

  1. I feel like I let myself down last year I hope to redeem myself so I can prove that I can do it 💯💯

  2. I think I didn’t do good last year, so this year, I will prove myself worthy of being in cost country 100%.😀
