End of Term Arrangements

We wanted to confirm the arrangements for the last few days of this term as we bring a very successful year to an end.

Thursday 9th July 2015: Parent’s Evening

3.30 – 7.00pm Parent’s Evening for all classes. Please come and collect your child(ren)’s end of year report. The SATs results for Year 2 and Year 6 will also be handed out. Several of our new teachers will also be in attendance tonight. They are looking forward to meeting their new children and families. For those new teachers who are not available this evening, we will be posting their details on the school blog so that you can find out a little more about them.

For Year 5 – Miss Faulding, has organised information about secondary school applications. We also have a representative from Harris South Norwood here tonight to answer any of your questions. Please drop into Amethyst Class (at the end of the new extension). A meeting will be organised for September to go through this in more detail.

Friday 10th July 2015: Celebration Assembly

We will be handing out brand new bicyles as a reward for good attendance over the past year. Names will be drawn from the list of children who have had 96% and above attendance over the whole academic year.

Monday 13th July 2015: Headteacher’s Award Trip

9.30am All eligible children will have received their letter about this trip. We are going to see The Minions and have a picnic in Lloyd Park afterwards.

6.30 – 8.00pm: Year 6 Prom.

Tuesday 14th July 2015: Leaver’s/End of Year Assemblies

9.00amEnd of Year Celebration Assembly: In school hall for classes from Reception to Year 3 to celebrate the end of a successful academic year.

10.15am: Year 6 Leaver’s Assembly: In school hall with Year 6 parents and families, staff who have taught these children at Heavers, and any siblings as well as classes from Year 4 and Year 5.

School finishes at the normal time on Tuesday 14th July 2015

School reopens to children on Monday 7th September 2015

  3. Hello Juanita,

    This is because we did not have many staff training days this year, so we are ending the year early to take acount of this. We did share this with parents last summer. We have brought back the training days next year, so will break up at the same time as other schools.
