World Book Day

alice_in_wonderland_92We will be celebrating World Book Day next Friday 8th March 2013. Classes from Year 1 to Year 6 will be re-writing the story of Alice in Wonderland so that we make our own Heavers Farm version! Each year group will be in charge of rewriting two

chapters from the book. Each class will re-write the chapters in their own words and produce illustrations for it. Some children will also make a film version using the iPads. Reception and Nursery will be doing their own writing activities.

By the end of the day we will collect the pages and pictures from every year group and turn it in to our very own version of Alice in Wonderland.

We will also ask the children from Nursery to Year 6 to come to school on Friday dressed as characters from the book and bring in £1.00 donation so that we can raise money to buy more books for the school.

  1. Are Reception children taking part in the Alice in Wonderland activities, including the dressing up? Thanks.

  2. Hello Lynn,

Yes Reception can take part in the Alice in Wonderland dressing up next Friday. They may do a slightly different writing activity.
