This week we are going to be thinking about bullying and how to tackle it. On Monday and Tuesday the theatre group Bigfoot will be coming in to school and holding anti-bullying assemblies for Years 1 to 6. They will then be carrying out anti-bullying workshops with Years 3 to 6.
With this in mind we would like you all to think about bullying this week, particularly cyber-bullying. If you are Reception to Year 2 we would like you to watch this video and find out more about how to keep safe on the internet by going to the Thinkuknow website and see what you can find out.
If you are in Year 3 to Year 6 we would like you to go the Thinkyouknow website and find out about what is good and what is not when you are using technology. There is also a lot of advice on how to get yourself out of a bad situation.
Thought for the week this week is to think of ways that we can make sure that we are all safe when we use our mobile phones, computers, iPads, Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Leave us a comment below to share your ideas.
I dont thinks it a good thing because it makes the bullys feel good and big and there bullying small and not big enough to stand up for them selfs and say leave me alone.
If a stranger is talking to you on the internet, don’t tell them your phone number, your door number, what you look like, your name or your age.
Very sensible advice Ellie!
You should never view texts or calls from people you don’t know. Also you should never send messages to people you don’t know.
I hope that everyone is safe on the internet.
Thank you Kanhai,
I am sure that everyone has thought carefully about keeping safe on the Internet this week.
