Many of you will have seen Giovanne on CBBC’s ‘Goodbye Year Six’ winning a brand new BMX bike for his good attendance. Well we are delighted to announce that once again we will be offering the prize of a brand new bicycle to those children whose attendance is 96% or higher. Also, this year we will be offering additional prizes for those children who are always on time for school.
In assembly every week we go through our ‘League Table’ for the previous week’s attendance and punctuality. The class that has the best attendance wins a prize, as does the class with the least lates. So if you want your class to win, and you want a chance to win a brand new bike, make sure that you come to school every day and on time!
Mr Reid has updated his blog Down on Heavers Farm where he will be sharing the secrets of life down at the farm! He will also be publishing the attendance figures for each year group every week.
To help instil good habits and to help children understand that there are consequences for poor punctuality, children in Years 3 – 6 receive 2 minutes detention for every minute that they are late in the morning.
Don’t forget that if you are concerned about your child’s attendance or punctuality you can come and talk to me any time, and we can see if there is anything we can do to help.
I would rather get an boy bike because I don’t ride with stableliseres and it would not matter at least I had good attendance and won the bike!!!!!!!!
I agree
Last year I got 100.00 this year I hope to get the same. 😀
Oh I can’t wait till the end of the year to see if I win a bike if I win I’ll be so happy I’ll be bosting about my new bike. It’s going to be great!
