Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent Teacher Association at Heavers Farm was re-launched in November 2006
with a new committee and a renewed vision – to be more transparent and inclusive than ever before.
Our success as an organisation is wholly founded on encouraging the active participation of all parents and ensuring that we communicate our stated aim of

- ‘Working harder for the benefit of all our children’ -

The PTA has organised discos and mufti-days, created the first ever Heavers Farm Yearbook, sold ice-poles after school on hot days and worked tirelessly to organise a successful Summer Fair (our first in over six years). We have also built many excellent relationships with local businesses and helped to raise the profile of Heavers Farm Primary School within the wider community of South Norwood and Selhurst.

We are really grateful for all the support given by so many parents and teachers during the year, particularly at our Summer Fair – we couldn’t have done it without you. Everyone had a fantastic day and the positive feedback we have had from parents can only drive us on to bigger and better things in the future.

Our continued success depends upon the participation of the parents of our children.
We hold regular PTA meetings (usually at least once per half-term) and enjoy the full support of the Management and Staff of the school. Every parent is automatically a member of the PTA and we actively encourage your ideas and opinions at all of our meetings, so why not drop in to our next meeting to see how we operate and how you can get involved.

We have many new & exciting plans for the year ahead. We hope that you will find time to help us to build a better future for the school and for your children.

If you need to contact the PTA please leave a message at the school office. Members of the PTA check with the office every day.
