This club operates on Mondays and Fridays after the school day ends to 4.30pm. Taekwondo Club is run by Richard Allen who operates the Allen Taekwondo Academy. Richard was born in the U.S.A, and has lived in both Ghana and Nigeria. He studied a combination of Martial Art forms including Karate, Judo, Kung Fu and Taekwondo and is a university graduate in Sports Science. He has been teaching Taekwondo for over a decade and holds a 4th Dan black belt.

Richard has competed in a number of major competitions including the 1991 World Championships; he took part in the 25th Olympics Games in Barcelona 1992 with Taekwondo a demonstration sport and was part of the 2000 British Olympic squad. He was one of the British Olympic Team Trainers for the 2004 Athens Olympics, National Cadet Coach in 2007, has been a London Squad coach since 2002 and was the first Taekwondo Commonwealth England coach in 2006.

Ten times British Open Champion he has held titles in the following places in his career: UK, Sweden, Holland, Spain, US, Belgium, Austria and is a Tri-Nation champion. The Korean Tennants which all students learn are etiquette, modesty, self control, perseverance and indomitable spirit.

Richard tells us it is an honour to teach Taekwondo and has seen many of our children through to competition level. He charges £35 monthly and payments should be made direct to him (not to our school office).
