Our soccer club is led by an enthusiastic group of young people from an organisation called Potential which was born out of the tragedy of the gang related death of a family member and friend. Heavers Farm is very proud of the opportunities given to us by working with Potential who provide extremely positive role models to our pupils – demonstrating that there are positive choices and options to be made in life. We work with this local group in a number of ways, including a Youth Club for our oldest children as well as mentoring projects.
The head coach Stefan Burke has over two years experience in coaching at a professional level for the championship club Bristol City F.C. Stefan works with other qualified coaches at our school. They mix their experience in coaching with the enthusiasm of London’s budding stars of tomorrow and aim to help students learn new skills, strategies, techniques as well as develop a passion for the game of football, whilst encouraging them to have fun and enjoy the sport.
Soccer Club takes place on the field on Wednesday finishing at 4pm and Potential charges £4 each session which should be made directly to Stefan (not the school) who would prefer payments to be given for a half term.
Booking forms are available here, from the school office.
