This club takes place on Mondays and Fridays finishing at 4.15pm. The children with expert leadership from the club staff do a fantastic job of maintaining and improving the school grounds and looking after plants within the school building. Your child will learn both practically and in theory about various aspects of gardening and we also maintain an allotment on the site adjacent to the school through our links with the Selhurst and South Norwood Allotment Society.
In acknowledgement of the possible dangers posed by gardening activities we have a current risk assessment which seeks to minimise and give guidance to staff on issues such as use of tools, ratios of children to adults and how a child’s behaviour could have an impact on their remaining in the club – we have adopted these safety measures to ensure we strive to keep your child safe. In this club children have to ensure they follow the school rules at all times and the staff are very vigilant.
The charge for this club is a nominal £2 per session which we ask parents to pay in advance if possible. Payments should be made to the school office. Gardening Club can be booked on the Club Form available from the school office.
