Our After School Club starts as soon as the school day is over and is open until 5.30pm. Your child will be taken to the club their class teacher. The club operates two groups, one for the younger children (Nursery to Year 3) who use the Reception classes and the older children (Years 4 to 6) the foyer area. Both groups have access to safe, monitored, outside play areas when the weather is good. The Games Club team are established members of the school staff so children have the added benefit of either knowing them already. Planned activities with an appropriate age focus are offered plus homework support and a healthy snack. As with any club on the school premises your child will be encouraged to follow the school rules to ensure consistency whilst they are in school.
Our After School Club costs £6 daily and is an ideal way for our families to relax and not have to rush at the end of their own day or be able to deal with work commitments in the knowledge that their child is safe, busy and with people that they know. Payment for this club should be made on a weekly in advance wherever possible. Payments should be made to the school office and receipts will be provided.
You can collect your child anytime up to 5.30 pm. Unfortunately at present this is the latest time that children should be collected as our Site Manager locks up the school at this time. Sadly, in the past we have had to charge parents who arrive late as we have had to pay overtime to our staff. We do however make sure that reminders are given prior to taking this step. Adults should come and collect their children from the main school entrance. If you wish your child (over Y3 only) to leave alone or to meet you or another known adult at a pre-arranged spot please make sure that you inform us of this in advance.
If your child is in Nursery to Year 3 we do ask that you ensure you that you advise us if someone other than the person who normally picks them up will do so. Please also note that anyone collecting a child from us must be over 14 years old.
After School Club can be booked on the Club Form available from the school office. If you need spaces on an ad-hoc basis, please speak to our office staff who will be happy to help you.
We use any profits from the club to provide such things as additional playground equipment for our pupils and look forward to welcoming your child.
